Red Bull Flugtag is one of Hyde Park’s big summer events, with optimists launching themselves, and their flying machines, from a 6 metre runway above the Serpentine. Mostly to a watery splash nanoseconds later.

To promote Flugtag around the country we designed and built a lovely full English breakfast that slowly, during the day, turned into a first world war style biplane.

With a sausage for a fuselage, and bacon wings with fried egg roundels, it caught everybody’s imagination wherever it went.
